CARING for ourselves

It's Saturday and finally sunny on the Rio Paraguay.  Asuncion is gleaming white in the distance.  As I'm downing my 3rd tumbler of Mate Cocido, I muse over the fish-and-eel diet of the blue heron standing still in the swamp below my window, and I wonder how the fowl's diet differs from last night Sushi dinner at Hiroshima... The heron doesn't drink beer and he works hard for his food, flying from swamp hole to swamp hole and doesn't eat anything out of a cardboard box.

Indulge me... it's Saturday and I'm slowly coming out of my frozen state.  Since my fingers are still numb from the 10 degree celsius in the apartment, I'm going to spare you from my typos and refer you to an earlier posting on CARING FOR OUR HEALTH.

PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY, a healthy diet and a little exercise can do more for us than any healthcare reform and billions of dollars poured into a vacuum-sucking, bottomless system.
